Description of activities
Non-Pushtimargiya Activities:
- Medical Relief’s: The trust does the most remarkable job of providing necessary medicines to those who cannot afford it. It also has a bed booked in Bhatia hospital for those who need hospitalization. The trust firmly believes in providing expensive medicines to those who cannot afford it. The payments are made in favor of doctors attending the patients and also against the bills of medicines.
- Educational Aids: Other activity that the trust undertakes is of providing funds to deserving and needy students whose parents cannot afford to pay for their education. It provides funds largely for “higher education”. The trust foresees to extend its activities by providing funds to students for studying abroad.
- Anna Daan (supply of food grains): The most important issue in one’s life is about food to eat. It constitutes one of the basic needs of human kind. It is very sad to know that some people cannot afford even to fulfill this basic need. To take care of the same this trust earnestly provides people with food grains to run their livelihood.
- Relief against natural disasters: A man turns helpless in front of the disasters, which are occurred in nature. There is no one to blame and at the end one finds himself helpless in front of nature. Everything is lost. One has to start from zero. But at that time what one needs are moral support and the basic elements for rehabilitation. This trust undertakes one more remarkable service i.e. to extend immediate relief to face these disasters. In the recent earthquake this trust has done some important rehabilitation measures.
These are by supplying blankets; tents to those stuck up in Bhuj and other earthquake effected areas. It had done same activities when a life-taking cyclone had stuck Kandla. The trust is prepared to help those in need during difficult times.
Note:
The above activities are not restricted to any caste. They are open for all.
Pushtimargiya activities:
- Spreading the principles of Shri Vallabhacharya: Under the supervision of Shri Nikunjlata Betiji classes are conducted at many centers in Mumbai and outside Mumbai. The principles of Shri Vallabhacharya are elaborated and taught in these centers. Also the epics written by him are taught with the importance of principles reflecting in these granths. Examinations are conducted at many centers regarding the same. Seminars on this subject are also held regularly.
- Kirtan Classes: Pushtimargiya kirtans are taught at many centers in Mumbai by this trust. Examinations are conducted in September every year. So far a three-year course has been implemented.
